Camera-Based People Counting Systems
Unisoft People Counting measures people passing or standing in a defined area from camera images, anonymously and in real time. It is not intended for identification or facial recognition and produces count, density and usage statistics without storing raw footage. Minute-, hour- and day-based traffic and attention-duration measurements support branch comparisons and campaign assessment. Heat Map is a complementary solution with a distinct purpose for spatial and movement analysis.
Compatible IP cameras can work with edge or cloud processing. Edge performs analysis on the device; cloud supports multi-location management. Camera angle, image quality, area layout and compatibility need advance checks. Unisoft CMS integration can change display content when visitor thresholds are reached. Store conversion requires comparing counts with POS or sales transaction data; traffic counts alone do not measure sales conversion.
