Within the scope of the project carried out for Medical Park Hospitals, self-service kiosk solutions that accelerate patient admission, registration, and payment processes were combined with the JANUS Smart Assistant Robot, which welcomes and guides visitors.
Thanks to the kiosks placed at the entrances, information desks, and patient admission areas of the hospitals, visitors can now initiate appointment procedures, complete registration processes, and carry out their transactions independently via integrated payment systems. JANUS is used to welcome visitors coming to the hospital, determine their needs, and direct them to the correct departments, transforming the digital patient experience into a more accessible, fast, and orderly structure.
At Medical Park hospitals, the fact that registration, appointment verification, payment, and guidance procedures were largely carried out through the reception staff, especially during peak hours, caused density in patient admission areas. While repetitive transaction requests increased the operational burden of the employees, patients waiting at different points for registration and payment led to prolonged service times.
The fact that visitors coming to the hospital for the first time constantly needed staff support to find the relevant polyclinic, unit, or transaction point also increased the density in the reception areas. In order to make the patient journey faster, more understandable, and user-controlled, an integrated structure digitizing registration, payment, and guidance processes was needed.
The accumulation of registration and payment transactions at information points created crowds, especially during peak hours.
Patients waiting for staff support for simple transactions increased the total transaction time within the hospital.
Repetitive registration, appointment, and payment requests increased the operational workload of healthcare personnel.
Visitors constantly needing reception support to find the correct department and service point made patient flow difficult.
Registration, appointment, and payment processes were digitized with self-service kiosks placed in the patient admission areas of Medical Park hospitals. Thanks to components such as a touch interface, integrated card payment terminal, and document/receipt printer, a user-friendly structure was created where patients can complete their basic transactions safely and quickly without needing staff support.
The JANUS Smart Assistant Robot was used in the welcoming and guidance layer of the project. JANUS is an artificial intelligence-supported mobile assistant that can detect and welcome visitors, provide guidance according to their needs, and offer touch or contactless interaction. With features such as autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, and multi-language support, it strengthens the initial contact and guidance experience within the hospital.
Thanks to this integrated solution, the operational load at information and patient admission points was reduced, while registration, payment, and guidance processes were made more organized. A modern digital patient experience was created where patients can complete their transactions at their own pace, and staff can focus on processes requiring more qualified support.
